Water, water everywhere!
In case you haven’t noticed, we are big fans of water. The latest items in our water collection include a new water banner and color handout tearpad that take the topic of drinking water to the next level!
Water is a great topic for health fairs, webinars, classes, social media posts, bulletin board displays, and employee education. Here are some teaching tips to go along with our new materials:
- Take a test: Have your audience test their knowledge of all things water with Water Facts and Water Quiz.
- Look at the numbers: Find out how much water people in the U.S. drink by visiting this page on the CDC website. You’ll see details on water consumption based on all kinds of parameters, from age and race to education and income level.
- Rethink your drink: When you explain that beverages besides plain water can help to replenish the body’s water supply, you open up an important conversation about high-calorie sugary beverages.
- Foods that hydrate: Sneak in some more nutrition education when you discuss how foods with a high-water content can also help your body get enough water. Fruits and veggies to the rescue!
