Set the two How Much Salt Is In That? posters on a table with a salt shaker next to each photo to show your audience the amount of salt in each food, then display the Low Sodium Choices poster on the table-top easel for a complete lesson. Quick and easy set up means more time for teaching.
Both of the How Much Salt in That? posters have measuring directions so you or your helpers can measure the salt into the shaker. Since the shakers are only .5 ounces 1 teaspoon will look significant - it is a lot more shakes than what they would put in their own food!

This kit offers a lot of versatility:
- Each poster has directions for how many grams of sodium are found in a teaspoon of salt. You can also use these as standalone posters on any wall.
- Simply add salt to the shakers next to each item on the posters so people can get a realistic visual education about how much salt is in processed foods that most people eat on a regular basis.
- Since the shakers only hold .5 ounces even a half teaspoon looks significant. And it is!
- You can also use the shakers to show how much sodium is in the average person's day (about 3600 mg) versus the recommended amounts (1500, 2300 mg).
- There are so many ways you can use your shakers. You will have to purchase salt and add it to the shakers but you can even get your participants to do this for you.
